Alessandra Colasanti brazilian actress, stage director and author. Her name is associated with the renovation of the contemporary theatrical scene in Rio de Janeiro, with works focused on thematic contemplation and language research. As a director, she has worked with Michel Melamed in the plays ”Free Money” and “Regurgitophagy” ,aclaimed by the public and the critics in Brasil, and abroad (Paris, New York/PS122, Under The Radar Festival/, Berlim, Koblenz); and “Tempo.depois”(considered by the entertainment press the revelation of the Festival Internacional de Teatro de São José do Rio Preto 2007); in her authorial works, the play “Anticlássico” and the performance “A Bailarina de Vermelho” she writes, directs and acts. The multimedia project A Bailarina de Vermelho is a cross between different languages and artistic supports, such as theatre, video, performance art, urban intervention, internet, literature, graffiti, photography and comics. A personal and aesthetic declaration about art and culture in contemporaneity.
